A change of personality!
A new RAPID application by Dimsport has been developed to enhance VAG group's 1.5 TSI EVO turbo petrol engine performance. Managed by Bosch MG1 Engine Control Unit, this system is 'inviolable' nowadays, therefore not adjustable by direct operations on the engine management maps.

To realize this application, Dimsport has fully exploited the versatility offered by RAPID TPM platform with a different firmware. A new Plug & Play harness permits not only to connect to RPM sensor, boost pressure sensor and inlet manifold pressure sensor, but also to manage the new generation of Valeo sensors available on board, characterized by SENT digital data transmission technology.
Thanks to RAPID TPM kit, 1.5 TSI EVO engine can be optimized with a 15% gain in torque and power output.
Rapid TPM module can be calibrated with the usual digital console; yet, to access a wider range of customizable parameters, TPM Advanced Software is required. The software allows to perform real time calibrations and includes dedicated functions such as point-to-point mapping, activation/de-activation ramps, map-lock (to avoid that others can read/manipulate the calibration of the module) and the lastly released Performance Test, to measure improvements in a range of comparative accelerations.
